Clean Start Mobile Hygiene Unit

For someone experiencing homelessness, keeping yourself and your clothes clean can be incredibly challenging, and can greatly impact your ability to get and keep a job, or simply participate in society. To meet this need, the City of Fremont, City of Newark, and several community partners developed the Clean Start Mobile Hygiene Program to provide much-needed shower and laundry services to our homeless neighbors. The Clean Start unit will be at various locations around town, including Niles Discovery Church, Centerville Presbyterian Church, and Salvation Army Tri-City Corps in Newark. Call 510-574-2222 for an updated schedule.
